Wizard Joe (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs the website at www.wizardjoe.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep things simple: we collect as little as we can, and we never sell your information.

Information we collect

Email newsletter. If you sign up for updates, we collect your email address. Signing up is a two-step process: after you submit the form we send a confirmation email, and you are only added to the list once you click the link inside it. This is how we make sure nobody is subscribed without their permission.

Usage information. Like most websites, we collect basic technical information when you visit, such as the pages you view, the approximate region you are visiting from, your browser type, and the site that referred you. We use a privacy-focused analytics service for this so we can understand which stories people enjoy. We do not use this information to build profiles of individual visitors.

Information you send us. If you email us, we will keep your message and address so we can reply.

How we use it

• To send you new stories and occasional behind-the-scenes updates you asked for.
• To keep the Site running, secure, and reliable.
• To understand how the Site is used so we can make it better.
• To respond when you contact us.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• An email service provider, to store the subscriber list and deliver the newsletter.
• A hosting provider, to serve the Site.
• An analytics provider, to measure Site usage.

We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our visitors and ourselves.

Links to other sites

The Site links to Wizard Joe’s channels on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Those platforms have their own privacy policies, and once you leave the Site their rules apply, not ours. We encourage you to read them.

Cookies

The Site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics service is designed to work without identifying individual visitors. Your browser may store small amounts of data needed for the Site to function, such as your preferences.

Children

Wizard Joe’s stories are made for families, and we love that kids enjoy them. The Site itself, however, is intended to be used by parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their email address, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe anytime. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to be removed.
• Access, correct, or delete. You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. We will honor them.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Usage information is kept in aggregate form and is not tied to you personally.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections to the Site. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be announced in the newsletter.
